Terms of Service

By creating an account, or by accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Platform. To make payments — including buying Dosti Points or subscriptions — you must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract, or have a parent or guardian do so on your behalf. By using the Platform you represent that you meet these requirements.

You are responsible for the information you provide and the activity on your account. You agree to give accurate, current and complete information, to keep it up to date, and to keep your sign-in credentials and device secure. Notify us promptly at support@tutordost.com if you suspect unauthorised use of your account. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account.

TutorDost is a discovery and booking marketplace that connects students and parents with independent tutors. Tutors are independent providers, not our employees or agents. Any tutoring services, lessons, fees and arrangements are a contract solely between the student (or parent) and the tutor.

We are not a party to that contract and do not provide tutoring ourselves. We do not guarantee the quality, suitability, qualifications, safety or conduct of any tutor or student, the accuracy of any profile, or that any enquiry will result in a booking. You are responsible for your own decisions about whom to engage and should exercise your own judgement.

Certain features require payment — for example, buying Dosti Points (our in-app wallet credits) or subscribing to a tutor plan. Payments are processed by our payment partner, Razorpay. Prices and applicable taxes are shown before you confirm a purchase.

• Dosti Points are prepaid credits used within the Platform. They have no cash value, are non-transferable, and are generally non-refundable once spent.
• Subscriptions grant access to plan features for the billing period and may renew where you have chosen auto-renewal; you can manage or cancel renewal from your account.
• Refunds, where offered, are handled in line with our refund practices and applicable law. Fees paid to tutors off-platform are between you and the tutor and are not our responsibility.

You are responsible for all charges incurred under your account.

You agree not to:

• use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose;
• post false, misleading, abusive, harassing, obscene or infringing content;
• impersonate any person, or misrepresent your identity, qualifications or affiliation;
• circumvent fees, scrape data, or interfere with or disrupt the Platform or its security;
• collect or misuse other users’ personal information; or
• upload viruses or malicious code, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to any system or account.

Reviews and ratings must reflect a genuine, honest experience. You may not post fake, incentivised, defamatory or irrelevant reviews, or content you do not have the right to share. You retain ownership of content you submit, and you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and use it to operate and promote the Platform. We may remove content that violates these Terms.

The Platform, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos and the “TutorDost” name, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Platform for its intended personal, non-commercial purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from the Platform except as permitted by law.

The Platform is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, TutorDost and its directors, employees and partners will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss arising out of tutoring services, interactions between users, or your use of (or inability to use) the Platform. To the extent we are found liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid to us in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim.

You may stop using the Platform and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access, with or without notice, if you breach these Terms, create risk or possible legal exposure for us or other users, or where required by law. On termination, the rights granted to you end; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as payment obligations, disclaimers, limitations of liability and governing law) continue to apply.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will revise the “Effective date” above and, where appropriate, notify you through the Platform. Your continued use of the Platform after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. You agree that the courts at Hyderabad, Telangana, India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform, subject to any applicable mandatory consumer-protection laws.
